Here's my very first blog and it's for the Win a Samsung SUHD TV this Father's Day
competition, organised by Currys.
So here are my top 5 TV Dads
First, The Simpsons, it's gotta be Homer,
Clumsy, overweight, lazy and a heavy drinker,
But also a devoted husband, and dedicated father,
D'oh, I forgot, and the best doughnut-eater,
The eccentric, kind-hearted father we all love and have grown to know,
With 5 children, and married to wife Clair,
He's got a strong sense of humour, no one else can compare!
Then there's Ray Barone,
Who when asked to do chores, he'd always postpone,
Reluctant to assume any responsibilities,
Due to his pampered upbringing, thanks to mother Marie,
A fab sitcom depicting the relationships of extended families,
Everybody Loves Raymond, and the jokes so sarky!
Walter White aka Heisenberg from Breaking Bad,
Diagnosed with cancer, it started off so sad,
Wanting to ensure his family's financial security,
He delved into the underworld through expertise in chemistry,
A school teacher turned ruthless criminal and murderer,
Obviously not the ideal father, but what an epic character!
Last but not least, Friends, and Ross Geller,
Goofy, but smart, with a love-able demeanor,
A son with Carol, then with Rachel, a daughter,
Yes it was destined that Rachel would be his significant other,
There were full of tears, watching the very last episode that day,
But thank God for box sets and re-runs, hooray!
